About

Why we do this.

Tycho exists because the frontier is real and the people who treat it as optional are wrong. The work is contracts, dollars, hardware, and timelines. The people who will actually leave the planet are already building the industrial capacity to do it.

We write for them. Operators, founders, engineers, investors, and the outsiders who want the business as it is, not as a press release. Capability is the standard. Measurement comes first.

Tycho exists for the people who will not settle. The ones who look outward and take the hard path because it is the only path that produces anything. New worlds are not a metaphor. They are the point.

The name

The name comes from Tycho Brahe: obsessive about measurement, impatient with theory that refused to face the data. He also lost part of his nose in a duel and kept a pet elk.

Serious work and a certain necessary craziness have always traveled together. Both meanings are the job. Measure first. Then decide what it means.

How the letter works

One email, Monday at noon. A punchy subject, a short desk note that frames the day, then tight hooks. Enough to know what happened and why it matters. The full pieces, about 250 to 300 words, live on the site. The letter is the delivery vehicle. The briefing is the destination.

If you only have the email, you have the signal. If you click through, you have the argument. That is the product on purpose. We would rather you read six serious pieces than skim sixty headlines.

Write

Tips, corrections, and the thing we should have had in the letter: hello@tycho.media. The desk: editor@tycho.media. One address. No form. No ticket queue.
